TERMS OF USE
Last updated October 9, 2026
1. Agreement to these Terms
These Terms of Use govern your use of www.thetelepause.com (the "Website"), operated by The TelePause, PLLC ("The TelePause," "we," "us," or "our"), a Michigan professional limited liability company. By using the Website, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Website.
You must be at least 18 years old to use the Website.
Contact us at hello@thetelepause.com, (517) 420-9410, or by mail at The TelePause, PLLC, PO Box 4, Grand Ledge, MI 48837.
2. Not Medical Advice
The Website, including articles, quizzes, newsletters, podcasts, and downloadable guides, is for general educational information only. It is not medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and it is not a substitute for care from a qualified clinician who knows your history.
No physician-patient relationship. Using the Website, taking a quiz, joining our newsletter or waitlist, or contacting us does not create a physician-patient relationship. That relationship begins only after you book a visit, complete our patient intake and consent forms, and have your first visit with a clinician of The TelePause.
Emergencies. The TelePause does not provide emergency or urgent care. If you think you are having a medical emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room. Do not use the Website, email, or our contact form for urgent medical needs.
Where we provide care. We currently see patients who are physically located in Michigan at the time of each visit. Information about other states is provided for waitlist purposes only.
3. Booking, Payments, and the Patient Portal
Appointment booking, payment, intake forms, and the patient portal are provided through third-party platforms we use to run the practice. When you use them, their own terms and privacy policies also apply.
Your care, fees, cancellations, refunds, and membership are governed by the consent forms and financial agreement you sign before your first visit, not by these Terms. Prices shown on the Website are current as of posting and may change; the price confirmed at booking applies.
The TelePause is a cash-pay practice. We do not bill insurance, and a membership is not health insurance.
4. Forms, Email, and Newsletters
When you submit a form on the Website (contact form, quiz, newsletter, or state waitlist), you agree that we may contact you by email about your request. If you join our newsletter, you agree to receive it until you unsubscribe, which you can do at any time using the link in any email or by writing to hello@thetelepause.com.
Please do not send personal health information through the Website, our forms, or regular email. These channels are not designed for protected health information. Once you are a patient, use the secure patient portal for anything about your health.
How we handle information you submit is described in our Website Privacy Policy. How we handle health information for patients is described in our Notice of Privacy Practices.
5. Using the Website

You may not copy, republish, sell, or create derivative works from them without our written permission. The TelePause™ name and logo are trademarks of The TelePause, PLLC.
Acceptable use. You agree not to misuse the Website, including by submitting false information, impersonating someone else, interfering with the Website's operation, scraping it with automated tools, or using it for any unlawful purpose.
Links to other sites. The Website may link to third-party websites, such as booking platforms, podcast apps, and social media. We are not responsible for their content or practices.
Testimonials. Patient testimonials on the Website reflect individual experiences shared with permission. Results vary, and testimonials are not a promise or guarantee of any outcome.
6. Disclaimers and Limits of Liability
As-is. The Website is provided "as is" and "as available." We work to keep information accurate and current, but we make no warranty that the Website will be error-free, uninterrupted, or complete.
Limitation of liability. To the fullest extent permitted by law, The TelePause, PLLC and its clinicians, staff, and contractors are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Website or reliance on its general information. This section applies to the Website only. It does not limit any rights you have as a patient for care you receive from us.
Indemnification. You agree to hold The TelePause, PLLC harmless from claims arising from your misuse of the Website or your violation of these Terms.
7. Privacy, Governing Law, and Changes
Privacy. Our Website Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy explain how we handle information collected through the Website.
Governing law. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan. Any dispute about the Website will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Michigan.
Changes. We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top shows the current version. Continuing to use the Website after an update means you accept the updated Terms.
Severability. If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect.
